Saint-Firmin is a French commune in the Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . Saint-Firmin is the former main town (Chef-lieu) of the former canton of the same name in the Gap arrondissement .
geography
To the west, the Drac river forms the border with the municipality of Beaufin in the Isère department . The other neighboring communities are:
- Aspres-lès-Corps in the north,
- Valjouffrey (Département Isère) in the northeast,
- Saint-Maurice-en-Valgodemard in the east,
- Saint-Jacques-en-Valgodemard and Aubessagne in the south,
- Le Glaizil in the southwest.
A local 2716 m high mountain is called Le Petit Chaillol .
Saint-Firmin is affected to the west by the Route nationale 85 expressway , which joins the Route Napoléon .
