Puy-Sanières is a French commune in the Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Chorges in the Gap arrondissement .
geography
Puy-Sanières located on the northern shores of Lac de Serre-Ponçon and near the southern flank of the 2,552 m high Mont Guillaume in the area of the mountain massif Massif des Écrins. The municipality is bordered by Puy-Saint-Eusèbe to the northwest , Embrun to the northeast , Crots to the south and Savines-le-Lac to the southwest .
