Forest-Saint-Julien is a commune in the Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur in the Gap . The municipality is bordered by Saint-Julien-en-Champsaur and Buissard (point of contact) to the north, Chabottes to the northeast, Ancelle to the east, La Rochette to the south, Gap to the southwest and Saint-Laurent-du-Cros to the west .
