Ancelle

Ancelle is a French commune in the Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . Ancelle is part of the canton of Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur in the Gap arrondissement .

geography

It is located around 100 kilometers from Grenoble and 17 kilometers from Gap and borders Chabottes , Saint-Léger-les-Mélèzes and Saint-Jean-Saint-Nicolas in the north, Orcières in the northeast, Réallon in the east and Réallon in the south Chorges and La Bâtie-Neuve and to the west at La Rochette and Forest-Saint-Julien . The village is at about 1300  m . Local elevations are the Petite Autane ( 2519  m ), the Grande Autane ( 2782  m ), Le Piolit ( 2464  m ) and the Puy de Manse ( 1637  m ).
