Grande Autane

The Grande Autane is a 2782 m high mountain in the Dauphiné Alps in France. It is located near Gap in the Hautes-Alpes department .

Routes to the summit

Talort is Ancelle northeast of Gap. From Ancelle, a dirt road leads east to Parking Rouanne Haute (1640 m), where the mountain path begins. This leads in a northerly direction in serpentines over the Croix de Lombard (1850 m) and La Serre du Milieu (2020 m) as well as the waypoint Pra Mau (2160 m) first to the Col de Combeau (2303 m). A path marked with cairns continues east from there to the Grande Autane. The path runs along the mountain ridge to the final ascent, which leads over rocks to the summit.
