Marios Lefkaritis

Marios N. Lefkaritis (born November 28, 1946 in Limassol ) is a Cypriot football official and industry manager. He is Honorary President of the Football Association of Cyprus . Since 1996 he has been a member of the UEFA Executive Committee (Exco) . He has also been a member of the FIFA Executive Committee since 2007 . He is one of the directors of the Cypriot oil company Petrolina (belongs to the family-run Lefkaritis Group, which mainly trades, bottles and transports petroleum and liquefied gas).

Life

Since 1971 he has been working for the first and now only Cypriot oil company Petrolina in the family-run Groupe Lefkaritis. From 1972 to 1977 he was a member of the presidium of the Apollon Limassol football club . From 1985 he was a member of the Presidium of the Cypriot Football Association, from 1991 its president for ten years, since then he has been honorary president.

  • 2005–2007: Member of the working group for national associations of the Executive Committee
  • 0000–2008: Deputy Chairman of the European Football Championship 2008
  • 2007–2009: Treasurer of the Executive Committee
  • Currently (2009–2011 term of office) he is Vice-President and Treasurer of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the Finance Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Regional Associations.

Lefkaritis is married with three daughters and lives in Limassol.
