Ángel María Villar Llona (born January 21, 1950 in Bilbao , Spain ) is a former Spanish national soccer player. From 1988 to 2018 he was President of the Spanish Football Association RFEF .

In 1992 Villar became a member of the UEFA Executive Committee and in 1998 a member of the FIFA Executive Committee .

2015 Villar was by FIFA with a fine of 25,000 Swiss francs occupied. He was accused of violating the code of ethics in connection with the investigation into the World Cup awards to Russia (2018) and Qatar (2022).

On July 18, 2017, he and his son were taken into custody as part of an anti-corruption mission in Madrid. Both are accused of forgery and embezzlement.

On July 24, 2017, the highest sports court in Spain, the Tribunal Administrativo del Deporte , opened disciplinary proceedings against him. A day later, the RFEF suspended him for a year, as did the RFEF Vice President Juan Padrón. On July 27, 2017, Ángel María Villar Llona resigned from his posts at UEFA with immediate effect.
