Lydia Nsekera (born April 20, 1967 in Bujumbura , Burundi ) is a Burundian sports official.

In 1992 she graduated from the University of Burundi with a degree in economics. In her youth she was not allowed to play football because it was frowned upon in her country. However, she later became involved in African women's football.

She reached a first milestone in her career as a sports official in 2004 when she was elected President of the National Football Association of Burundi . In 2013 she was voted out of office.

She became a member of the International Olympic Committee in 2009. In May 2012 she was the first woman to be elected a co-opted member of the FIFA Executive Committee and in May 2013 she became the first woman to become a regular member of the FIFA Executive Committee.
