Raimund Gensel

Raimund Gensel (born June 22, 1940 in Eisenach ; † February 1, 2002 in Nuremberg ) was a German actor .

Life

Gensel initially trained as a bookseller and worked in this profession. From 1963 to 1966 he learned the profession of actor at the Folkwang School in Essen and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg . He then performed in Berlin, Hanover, Kassel, Nuremberg, Coburg and Hamburg, among others.

From 1985 to 1992 Gensel played the role of Franz Schildknecht in the WDR television series Lindenstrasse . Then he was seen in a supporting role in the episode Deserters of the WDR- Tatort in 1993 , as well as in individual episodes of various German television series, most recently in 1999 in Die Wache .

Gensel lived in Rottenbach in the Coburg district for the last few years . On February 1, 2002, he died in Nuremberg as a result of a serious illness.
