Raymund Minderer

Raymund Minderer , also Raimund Minderer, Raymundus Minderus (* around 1570 in Oettingen ; † May 13, 1621 in Augsburg ), was a German physician and city ​​physician of Augsburg.

Life

Minderer studied medicine in Ingolstadt from 1590 , received his doctorate in 1597, first worked as a military doctor for a few years and, after study trips, settled in Augsburg as a doctor in 1606. He became city physician and later personal physician to Emperor Matthias and Elector Maximilian I. His work on military medicine, Medicina militaris , published in Latin in 1620 , saw numerous editions and was also translated into English.
