Raimundo José Correa (born January 2, 1950 in Barra do Paraopeba , Minas Gerais ), also known by the nickname Lola , is a former Brazilian football player who mainly acted in attack .

career

Lola spent his first professional years at Atlético Mineiro , which he joined at the age of 16. In 1971 he and the Alvinegros won the Brazilian football championship , which was officially played nationwide for the first time , after having won the national championship in Minas Gerais with his club the previous year . After a stopover at Guarani FC , Lola came to Mexico in 1974 , where he spent his first season at Club América in 1974/75 . He then moved to the UANL Tigres , with whom he won the Mexican Cup competition in the 1975/76 season . In the finals he prevailed with the Tigres against his previous employer America.

After his stint with the Tigres, he returned to Brazil, where he still played for various clubs and ended his active career in the service of Botafogo Ribeirão Preto in 1983/84.
