Rainbow Ridge (English for rainbow ridge ) is a mountain ridge on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It forms the western edge of the crater-like depression in the center of the Brown Peninsula .
The New Zealand Geological Survey and scientists from the Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expeditions conducted geological surveys between 1964 and 1965 and carried out the descriptive naming. This is derived from the different shades of brown in the trachyte rock of the mountain ridge as a result of glacial effects.
