Rainer Beckmann (born August 8, 1948 in Grube , Westprignitz) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Beckmann visited the POS Perleberg from 1955 to 1965 and trained as a sewing machine mechanic from 1965 to 1967. From 1967 to 1969 he worked as a customer service mechanic and then studied at the TH Wismar . In 1973 it graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. 1973 to 1990 he was a project engineer, group leader, department head in investment preparation and rationalization. In 1990 he became head of the economy, trade and regional development department in the Schwerin district administration .

Beckmann is married and has a daughter.

In the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1990 , he was elected to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania via the SPD state list. In the state parliament he was chairman of the committee of inquiry “Contracts for shipbuilding and shipping” and a member of the economic committee. In the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1994 , he was re-elected as a direct candidate in constituency 8 (Schwerin I) with 34.6% of the vote. In 1998 he left the state parliament.
