Rainer Brinkmann (politician)

Rainer Brinkmann (born January 9, 1958 in Kalletal - Varenholz ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the German Bundestag in the fourteenth legislative period .

Life

Brinkmann graduated from the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences in 1988 as a qualified social worker . He was then managing director of the SPD Lippe until 1998, which he joined in 1976. From 1980 to 1986 he was district chairman of the Young Socialists ; since 1984 also chairman of the local SPD association. In 1989 he became a member of the district council of the Lippe district , when he left this in 1994 he became a member of the city council of Detmold . In the fourteenth legislative period from 1998 to 2002 he was a member of the Bundestag. Rainer Brinkmann has been managing director of the SPD in Detmold, Bielefeld and Höxter since 2003. Since 2004 he has been a member of the Detmold City Council again and is also chairman of the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Detmold and chairman of the advisory board of Energie-Impuls-OWL.
