Rainer Dally

Rainer Dally (* 1942 in Duisburg ) is a lawyer and was President of the Synod of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church from 2006 to 2012 .

Life

Rainer Dally studied law at the Universities of Hamburg and Cologne . In 1969 he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD; afterwards he worked as a judge and at the Federal Ministry of Justice in Bonn , where he was responsible for state security criminal law.

Dally was then a judge at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court for ten years , where he was involved in the earlier RAF trials.

After the reunification he was appointed to the district court of Neubrandenburg and later to the higher regional court in Rostock , where he was presiding judge - chairman of the criminal senate and the state security senate.

For several years Dally was vice-president of the regional synod of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church . In autumn 2006 he was elected President of the Synod and held this office until 2012, when the independence of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church ended. He succeeded Elke König , who held the office for eight years and was again President of the Pomeranian Church District from 2012.

Rainer Dally is married and has two children. He lives in Pantlitz in the Stralsund church district .
