Rainer Wekwerth

Rainer Wekwerth (born January 1959 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German writer .

Life

Wekwerth attended school in Esslingen.

At first he concentrated entirely on writing short stories , later he wrote longer novels . At 36, he published his first novel Emily's Wondrous Journey to the Land of Dreams . This was followed by two more children's books .

In the following years he published successful fantasy novels under the pseudonyms David Kenlock and Jonathan Abendrot . From 2006 to 2010 he took a creative break after publishing eleven books, which he finished with Damian: The City of Fallen Angels .

His labyrinth series is about seven young people who try to escape the "labyrinth" by crossing six worlds, but have to leave one of them to die in each world.

Wekwerth is married and has one daughter.
