Rainer Zimmermann (handball player)
Rainer Zimmermann (born May 2, 1942 in Glogau , Lower Silesia ) is a former German handball player .
The 1.76 meter tall Rainer Zimmermann played for SC Dynamo Berlin .
In the squad of the GDR men's national handball team , Zimmermann played at the 1967 World Cup and the 1970 World Cup , where he was runner-up. At the 1972 Olympics he scored eight goals in three games for the GDR.
