Ralf-Rainer Odenwald
Ralf-Rainer Odenwald (born December 16, 1950 in Pforzheim ) is a German painter and goldsmith.
Life
Ralf-Rainer Odenwald initially completed an apprenticeship in goldsmithing from 1967 to 1969, after which he studied design at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences in 1969. From 1970 to 1976 he studied at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts with Gotthard Graubner , Hans Tiemann and Joseph Beuys . Since 1977 he has been a freelance artist in Hamburg and Dithmarschen.
From 1989 to 1994 Odenwald accepted teaching assignments for painting at the technical colleges for design in Darmstadt and Hamburg. In 1995, 1998 and 2008 he was visiting professor at the Summer Academy Pentiment, Hamburg.
Odenwald's works are in public and private collections at home and abroad. He lives and works in Schafstedt ( Dithmarschen district ).
