Ralf Heskamp (born September 22, 1965 in Rheine ) is a former German football player and is now a functional . He is a trained industrial clerk and tax clerk .
Career as a player
Heskamp played for VfL Osnabrück for nine years from 1983 , mostly in the 2nd Bundesliga . He made his debut game shortly before his 18th birthday. Heskamp's nickname, regularly reading his personal fans' banners in the stadiums, was Hedgehog in the early days of his career .
In 1992 Heskamp left the club and played at Eintracht Braunschweig for a year . From 1993 to 1996 he was again under contract with VfL Osnabrück, who was playing in the Regionalliga at that time .
He then played one season for regional league team Preußen Münster and a year and a half for regional league team Eintracht Nordhorn . After the 1999/2000 season, in which he completed ten appearances with his youth club FC Eintracht Rheine in the Oberliga Westfalen , he ended his career as a football player.
After the time as a player
Heskamp was managing director at VfL Osnabrück from 2000, before the employment relationship was terminated on June 30, 2013 by the club's executive committee at the time. In view of the open-ended employment contract, this led to a court settlement. Since July 1, 2014, he was employed as a scout at FC Bayern Munich and was supposed to spot talents in northern Germany for the German record champions.
On December 9, 2014, Ralf Heskamp was introduced as the new sporting director of the third division Holstein Kiel . He received a contract there until 2017.
Heskamp ended his engagement in Kiel on October 7, 2015 for private reasons. Uwe Stöver was introduced as his successor on December 4th of the same year . Afterwards, Heskamp worked again as a scout in northern and eastern Germany for Bayern Munich before he was introduced as the new sports director of third division Hallescher FC on April 1, 2018 .
