Ralf Keidel (born March 6, 1977 in Würzburg ) is a German former football player . He is strong on both feet and has been called "the beast" because of his amount of running and fighting. His regular position was the right midfield, but he was also used as a central midfielder behind the tips.

Football career

He learned to play football in the youth teams of ASV Rimpar and the Würzburger Kickers . Then he moved to the then top division club 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 . His other stations were Newcastle United and MSV Duisburg . At the beginning of the 2004/05 season he moved within the 2nd Bundesliga to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , with whom he was relegated at the end of the season. In the 2005/06 season he played for LR Ahlen , with whom he was also relegated. Since July 2006 he has been playing for the then regional division FC Ingolstadt 04 , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2008 and 2010.

Ralf Keidel had a contract with FC Ingolstadt 04 until the summer of 2011. After his contract expired, Keidel signed an amateur contract for the second team at FC Ingolstadt 04. In summer 2013 he ended his career and became assistant coach of the Ingolstadt U23 team in which Keidel helped out as a defender in September 2013.
