Ralf Schumann (born May 23, 1956 in Hamburg ) is a German politician of the Die Linke party .

biography

Family, education and work

Schumann grew up in Hamburg as the seventh child in a working-class family. He completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant and then acquired the technical college entrance qualification through a second educational path. From 1978 to 1978 he worked for Neue Heimat and from 1981 worked in Bremen for Neue Heimat Bremen and later for Gewoba . From 2003 to 2008 he was managing director of the project company for urban redevelopment in Osterholz - Tenever . He has been a department head at Gewoba since 1998.

He is married and has one child.

politics

Schumann became a member of the left. Since the general election in Bremen in 2019 he has been a member of the Bremen parliament . Here he is a member of the legal committee. For his party he is a spokesman for building, housing, urban development, law / justice and transport.
