Ralf Zimmermann (born January 7, 1981 ) is a German soccer player . The defender and midfielder played twelve games in German professional football in the course of his career so far, when he came to some appearances for SSV Ulm in 1846 in the 2nd Bundesliga as a junior player .

Athletic career

Zimmermann comes from the youth of the SSV Ulm 1846 . On the 32nd matchday of the 1998/99 season he made his professional debut in the second division match against the Stuttgarter Kickers when he came on for Oliver Unsöld in the 85th minute . After relegation from the Bundesliga , he came to eleven missions in the 2000/01 season. In total, Zimmermann made 25 second division games.

After the Spatzen crashed into the Württemberg Association League in 2001 because of the withdrawal of their license , Zimmermann moved to the regional league team Stuttgarter Kickers. There he came to 56 games in two years, in which he scored two goals. In 2003 he went to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg for TSV Crailsheim for a year , before he went back to the regional league for SC Pfullendorf in 2004 . In four years Zimmermann played over 200 regional league games for SC Pfullendorf. He stayed there until his contract expired in June 2008. Due to a severe muscle tear in his right thigh, Zimmermann had to take a break of nine months. Zimmermann moved to TSG Thannhausen in the Bayern League . After a year and a half he moved on to SV Mindelzell, with whom he played in the Donau-West district league until the end of 2013. At the same time he worked there as an assistant trainer. At the beginning of 2014 he moved to the A-Class West in the district of Günzburg at DJK Breitenthal . In 2015 he also became his team's coach. Since summer 2017 he has been a player-coach at RSV Wullenstetten in the Donau / Iller district league.
