Ralph Bombis
Ralph Bombis (born July 23, 1971 in Cologne ) is a German politician . Since the state elections in 2012, he has been a member of the FDP in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament .
Bombis studied constitutional, social and economic history as well as political science and public law at the University of Bonn . In addition to his studies, he worked as a student assistant at the Bonn Institute for Constitutional, Social and Economic History . After completing his studies, Bombis took over the management of the family business, which operates in the field of inpatient care.
Political career
In 1997, Bombis became a member of the Young Liberals and the FDP . He has been a member of the Rhein-Erft district since 2001 and was chairman of the FDP district parliamentary group until 2012. He has been chairman of the FDP Rhein-Erft since 2011 and deputy chairman of the FDP district association in Cologne since 2012. Bombis competed in the 2005 state elections , the 2010 state elections , the 2012 state elections and the 2017 state elections for the FDP in the state electoral district of Rhein-Erft-Kreis III , where he was 7.0%, 5.3%, 5.3% and 9, 4% of the first votes. After the state elections in 2012, he moved into the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament for the first time above his list position 22. From 2015 to 2017 he was chairman of the study commission on the future of craft and medium-sized businesses in North Rhine-Westphalia. In the state elections in 2017, he was re-elected to the state parliament in 13th place.
