Ram Nath Chopra

Ram Nath Chopra ( Hindi राम नाथ चोपड़ा Rām Nāth Copṛā ; born August 17, 1882 in Gujranwala , † June 13, 1973 in Srinagar ) was an Indian pharmacologist .

Life

RN Chopra graduated from the University of the Punjab in 1902 . For the winter semester of 1902 he enrolled at Downing College in Cambridge , where he acquired his Science Tripos in 1905 .

He wrote a paper on the Action of drugs on ciliary movement in the respiratory tract . (Effect of drugs on the movement of cilia in the airways). From 1921 he had a pharmacology professorship at the School of Tropical Medicine in Calcutta . From 1934 to 1941 he was director of the School of Tropical Medicine in Calcutta.
