Ram Prasad Bismil
Ram Prasad Bismil (born June 11, 1897 in Shahjahanpur , † December 19, 1927 ) was an Indian revolutionary and poet who took part in the 1918 conspiracy in Mainpuri and the Kakori conspiracy in 1925 against the British Empire . He wrote under the stage names Ram, Agyat and Bismil in Hindi and Urdu . However, he was only known as Bismil . He is associated with Arya Samaj , where he found his inspiration for Satyarth Prakash, a book by Swami Dayanand Saraswati . He also had an intimate relationship with Lala Har Dayal through his guru Swami Somdev, an Arya Samaj preacher.
Bismil was a founding member of the Hindustan Republican Association revolutionary organization. Bhagat Singh praised him as a great poet and writer, who also translated the books of Catherine Bolshevikon Ki Kartoot from English into Bengali. Several patriotic works are attributed to him, including the poem Sarfaroshi ki Tamanna .
