The Ramal de Viseu railway connection was a narrow-gauge line (1000 mm) in central Portugal, which connected the Linha do Vouga with the city of Viseu .

history

The line was closed in 1990. Already in the 1970s there were shutdowns, as the operation with steam locomotives repeatedly led to forest fires in the area. After April 25, 1974, the line was operated with diesel trains. Today there is not much left of the former route except for a few station buildings, tunnels and bridges. Efforts are currently being made to convert the disused route into an eco-cycle path.
