The Ramazanoğulları , also Ramazanids or Ramadanids , were an Anatolian Beylik , which originated in the 14th century.

The Ramazanoğulları were a Turkmen family from the Yüreğir tribe . After the collapse of the Kingdom of Armenia, Turkmen tribes settled in the Çukurova in the area of Adana , Sis (now Kozan ), Ayas (now Yumurtalık ) and Tarsus.

In 1353 the progenitor Ramazan was given the title of "Emir of the Turkmen" by the Mameluke Sultan. In 1354 his son Ibrahim traveled to Cairo with a gift of 1,000 horses and was confirmed by the Mameluke Sultan as his father's successor. However, he came into conflict with the Mameluk overlords and was executed by them in 1383/84. His brother Ahmed followed him. He married his daughter to the Mameluke sultan Faraj . After his death in 1417 he was followed by his son Ibrahim. He had several disputes with the Karamanoğulları over the city of Tarsus. In the years that followed, leadership alternated between different members of the family.

From 1485 Halil was Prince of the Beyliks. Various inscriptions from him have been preserved on buildings. His son Piri Mehmed, who ruled from 1510, was a vassal of the Ottomans for the first time. 1516 the Beylik was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire, but the Ramazanoğulları stayed until 1608 hereditary Sanjak beys in Adana.

Numerous buildings in Adana, Tarsus and other cities have been preserved from the time of the Ramazanoğulları. The best known building is the Ulu Cami in Adana.
