The Yüreğir were an Oghuz tribe.

Mahmud al-Kāshgharī mentioned them under the name Yüregir as one of the 24 Oghusian tribes. As a totem animal they had a red-footed falcon . Their tribal name means in Old Turkish the one whose business is going well .
