Ramin Muzaffar oglu Hasanov ( Azerbaijani Ramin Müzəffər oğlu Həsənov ; born November 7, 1977 ) is an Azerbaijani diplomat . He is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Federal Republic of Germany .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1994, he began studying at the Faculty of International Relations and International Law at the Baku State University. In 1998 he completed his bachelor's and 2000 master's degree. In 1999 he was a participant in the International Diplomatic Course of the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany . Hasanov speaks Azerbaijani, German, English, Russian and Turkish. He is married and has two children.

Diplomatic career

Hasanov has been in the diplomatic service of the Republic of Azerbaijan since 1999. From 1999 to 2000 he worked as a consultant and attaché in the Department for Europe , USA and Canada in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 2000 to 2003 he worked as attaché and 3rd secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Federal Republic of Germany. From 2003 to 2004 he worked as 3rd and 2nd secretary of the First Western Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 2004 to 2005 he was the 2nd Secretary of the Department of International Law and Treaties in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2005 Hasanov was transferred to the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Switzerland as 2nd Secretary. He later became 1st Secretary and Counselor of the Embassy. From 2009 to 2010 he was head of division, from 2010 to 2013 he was deputy head of the Department for International Law and Treaties in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2013 Hasanov was appointed head of the Department for International Law and Treaties in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and worked in this office until 2016. Since September 7, 2016, he has been Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Federal Republic of Germany. On July 24th, 2009 Ramin Hasanov was awarded the medal for the 90th anniversary of the diplomatic service bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2340 of July 7, 2012, he was awarded the medal for distinction in the diplomatic service. Hasanov represented his country as part of official delegations of the Republic of Azerbaijan at numerous bilateral and multilateral events. With the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 1320 of July 9, 2019, he was awarded the highest diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
