Born out of wedlock, Ramiro has several adventures during the reign of King Alfonso VIII of Castile .

William Vance drew his second series of knights after Roderic . Jacques Stoquart wrote the first four episodes . The series was published between 1974 and 1983 in the Belgian women's magazine Femme d'Aujourd'hui . The stories have been greatly expanded and revised for the album editions. Dargaud brought out the albums. Only the complete edition contained the last two episodes not yet published in album form. The German publication was done by Splitter .
