Ramose (vizier)
Ramose was an Egyptian vizier who lived under the kings of Amenhotep III. and Akhenaten officiated. He came from an influential family. His father Heby may have been " Mayor of Memphis ". His brother Amenhotep was " chief asset manager in Memphis ", which was one of the most influential offices at court.
Ramose is known from various monuments. Among them is his grave ( TT55 ) located in Thebes in Sheikh Abd el-Qurna , whose burial chapel is decorated with reliefs and paintings. These reliefs show both rulers under whom Ramose served: Amenhotep III. and Akhenaten. The latter is shown here in the typical art style of his reign.
