The Göttinger Miszelle (subtitle Contributions to Egyptological Discussion ) is a journal that has been published since 1972 and currently appears every three months with a length of 112 pages. The editorial team is based at the Department of Egyptology and Coptic Studies at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . The current editor is Orell Witthuhn.

The magazine publishes short articles in German, English or French from the fields of Egyptology and Coptology as well as related subjects. It serves the rapid publication of new results and sees itself as a kind of forum for discussion within the subject area. In order to be able to publish without long delays, only offset-capable manuscripts by the respective authors are accepted.

The now former series Göttinger Miszellen - Beihefte was transferred to the series Göttinger Miszellen - Occasional Studies in 2015 .

Advisory Board

Up to issue 253 (2017), the reviewers included Wolfhart Westendorf , Georg-August-Universität Göttingen .
