Rampart Ridge (meaning protection wall ) is a distinctive and rugged mountain ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range, it rises north of the Rutgers Glacier and extends from The Spire to Bishop Peak .
Members of the northern New Zealand geodetic team in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) gave the formation its descriptive name in February 1957 in the course of survey work.
