Ramsar area in Sierra Leone
The Ramsar area in Sierra Leone is a protected wetland in Sierra Leone according to the Ramsar Convention concluded in 1971 . This area is of international importance, according to the intention of the international international treaty in particular as a habitat for water and wading birds .
Sierra Leone currently (as of February 2014) has a Ramsar area with an area of 295,000 hectares (ha).
