Ramses Meriatum

Ramses Meriatum ( Rˁ ms sw Mrj Jtmw ) was a son of the ancient Egyptian king Ramses III. (ruled about 1187 to 1156 BC). In a list of princes in the temple of Medinet Habu , he appears in seventh place and was therefore probably the ruler's seventh son. Ramses Meriatum was high priest of Heliopolis and in this capacity he was entitled "Great of those looking at Re-Atum" Wer-mau-en-Re-Atum ( Wr-m3w-n-Rˁ-Jtmw ). Ramses III. named his sons after the sons of Ramses II , who accordingly also had a son named Meriatum , who in turn was also high priest of Heliopolis. Nothing else is known of his life. In addition to the list of princes, it appears in the Wilbour Papyrus , an administrative document. There he is mentioned in a list that dates to the fourth year of Ramses V's reign .
