Ramsloh ( Sater Frisian Roomelse ) is a district of the municipality of Saterland in the district of Cloppenburg in Lower Saxony and the seat of the municipal administration.

geography

The village is east of the B 72 . The southern neighbor is Scharrel , the northern Strücklingen. The Esterweger Dose nature reserve is located in the south-western part of the district . The place is crossed by the Cloppenburg – Ocholt railway line .

history

Ramsloh had 896 inhabitants in the 1850s, who were divided between the Ramsloh (380) and Hollen (354) farmers and the Hollener Moor (162). In 1910 Ramsloh had 1012 inhabitants.

In Ramsloh there were two schools in the 1850s, one in Ramsloh with 120 students and one in Hollener Moor with 22 students.

Incorporations

As a result of the regional reform, Ramsloh was combined with Scharrel and Strücklingen to form the municipality of Saterland on March 1, 1974.

In Ramsloh, the secondary and secondary school Saterland and the Laurentius-Siemer-Gymnasium are located in a school center .

The Rhauderfehn marine radio station is located southwest of the village .
