The Laurentius-Siemer-Gymnasium (short LSG ) is a general education high school in Ramsloh , the central parish of the Saterland . It is currently attended by about 440 students.

The Saterland school center is at the same location .

history

The predecessor was the branch of the Albertus-Magnus-Gymnasium Friesoythe established in 2004 . It was set up for the communities of Barßel and Saterland.

In August 2007, the branch was converted into an independent, two-class grammar school in lower secondary education (grades 5 to 10). In the meantime, the LSG has three classes in grades 5 to 10, in the 2014/15 school year class 7 was four classes.

The name is derived from Laurentius Siemer , a Roman Catholic religious priest and provincial of the Dominicans in the resistance against National Socialism .

particularities
