Yannick van de Velde (born August 15, 1989 in Utrecht ) is a Dutch actor who became known for his role in the film In Orange .

life and career

Yannick van de Velde is the son of the director Jean van de Velde . He attended from 2001 to 2007 the school Christelijk school Utrecht . In 2003 he auditioned for the film Erik in the Land of Insects . Although he would have got the role of a butterfly, he instead chose the role of Remco van Leeuwen in the soccer film In Orange . With this role he won the Young Artist Award . In the summer of 2008 he played a leading role in the film The Letter for the King . From 2009 to 2010 he starred as Hidde in the television series 2012 - The Year Zero .

He also played minor roles in the television series Hoe kom ik in Oranje? and S1NGLE . For the Dutch dubbed versions of The Chronicles of Narnia: The King of Narnia , The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian of Narnia and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Journey on the Dawn , he played the role of Edmund Pevensie.
