Ranón is one of five parroquias in the municipality of Soto del Barco in the Autonomous Community of Asturias in Spain .
The Aeropuerto de Asturias is only a few kilometers away, and the Parroquia is easily accessible from all directions via the FEVE and ALSA stations .
In 2006 the Parroquia San Juan de la Arena was dissolved and subordinated to the smaller Ranón.
