The Rancheria River is a right tributary of the Liard River in the extreme south of Canada's Yukon Territory .
The Rancheria River has its origin in the Northwind Lakes in the northern Cassiar Mountains . It initially flows south not far from the North American continental divide to Daughney Lake , which it flows through. It then turns east and flows north of the provincial border with British Columbia . The Yukon Highway 1 ( Alaska Highway ) between Swift River and Watson Lake runs 55 km along the north bank of the river. The main tributary, the Little Rancheria River , meets the river when coming from the south. The Rancheria River finally flows into the Liard River 20 km northwest of Watson Lake .
The Rancheria River is used by kayakers and canoeists for water sports.
