action

Jacek and Marcyś are two students who, because of their earnings and the prospect of adventure, take a job as “cowboys” at a local cattle farm. Instead of the hoped-for romance and expected hard deeds, they experience days full of boredom. When Jacek takes care of the stallion "Szagi", that changes. He gives him courage and confidence, so that he seduces Walentyna, the girlfriend of the boss of a smuggling ring, in a nearby bar. He also had a love affair with Agnieszka, who is part of a geological expedition; however, the girl herself feels drawn to Marcyś. The resulting rivalry between the two friends culminates in a falling out when Jacek cynically and incidentally declares that he only seduced Agnieszka out of sporting ambition. Meanwhile, the head of the smuggling gang has gathered his people to seek revenge for the approach to his girlfriend. In a showdown, the students and the criminals face each other. Jacek and Marcyś manage to hold off the criminals until the police arrive; their friendship is intact again.

criticism

Marek Haltof describes the film as a failed attempt to create a Polish representative of the American genre. Overall, the criticism dealt graciously with the unique, risky and not really useful attempt.

Remarks

The film's poster is unusually artificial for the genre.
