Randhir Singh Gentle
Randhir Singh Gentle (born September 22, 1922 , † September 25, 1981 ) was an Indian hockey player . He is one of the seven hockey players who have won three Olympic gold medals.
At the Olympic Games in 1948 , 1952 and 1956 Singh Gentle was each in the victorious Indian team . He was a tough but technically very clean defender who developed into the penalty corner specialist for his team. In 1956 he scored six goals in the tournament, including the hit in the final for a 1-0 victory over Pakistan .
Singh Gentle played for Independent SC hockey club in Delhi. After his career he worked as a trainer in India, Malaysia and Spain.
