Randi Bratteli

Randi Bratteli , nee Randi Larsen , (born September 17, 1924 in Hamar , † December 9, 2002 ) was a Norwegian journalist and non-fiction author.

Life

Bratteli was the daughter of Olav Larsen (1894-1981), a Norwegian resistance fighter during the Second World War and later editor-in-chief of the newspaper Dagsavisen .

She was the chairwoman of the Association of Friends of Israel in the Norwegian Labor Movement (Norwegian: Venner av Israel i Norsk Arbeiderbevegelse ). For her commitment to the reconciliation between Germany and Norway, Randi Bratteli was honored on January 15, 2002 by the then ambassador in Oslo , Dr. Horst Winkelmann , awarded the Order of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany.

She was married to the former Norwegian Prime Minister Trygve Martin Bratteli .

Since the 1970s, she has published several non-fiction books that have not been available in German so far (as of January 2015).

Their children are the mathematician Ola Bratteli and the artist Marianne Bratteli .
