Randy Boone

Randy Boone (born January 17, 1942 in Fayetteville , North Carolina ) is an American actor .

Life

Boone began his career in 1962 with one of the lead roles in the dramedy Troubled Years , which, however, was discontinued after 19 episodes due to low ratings. After a few guest appearances in various television series, he received the role of Randy Benton in the western series The People of Shiloh Ranch in 1964 , through which he gained notoriety among television audiences. From 1967 to 1968 he played Francis Wilde in the short-lived western series The Marshall of Cimarron with Stuart Whitman in the title role.

In 1966 Boone made his feature film debut with the lead role in the musical film Country Boy by director Joseph Kane . From the mid-1970s, his engagements became less frequent; his last role so far he played in the buddy film The Top Cops with Beau Bridges and Bubba Smith in the leading roles.
