Troubled years
Restless Years (original title: It's a man's world ) is a 19 episode series produced by the American television station NBC from 1962-63 about young people in America who live on a houseboat (" The Elephant ") in the fictional small town of Cordella on the Ohio River . It is about their everyday life with problems, worries and joys. The main characters are college students Wes Macauley and his brother Howie, whose parents were killed in a traffic accident, and Tom-Tom DeWitt, friend and fellow student of Wes and Vern Hodges, a folk singer from North Carolina.
When It's a man's world was discontinued because the audience ratings were too low, there were protests from fans of the series in the USA.
