Glenn Corbett

Glenn Corbett (* 17th August 1933 in El Monte , California as Glenn Rothenburg ; † 16th January 1993 in San Antonio , Texas ) was an American actor .

He made his first appearance as a film actor in the feature film The Crimson Kimono from 1959. He first appeared on television as Wes Macauley in the short-term series Troubled Years ( It's a Man's World , 1962–1963). In 1973 he played the investigator Sandy in the Tatort episode Dead Taube in Beethovenstrasse . With John Wayne he directed the two films Chisum and Big Jake . He also played in numerous television series as a guest actor, so u. a. in the series The People from Shiloh Ranch , Spaceship Enterprise , Bonanza , and as Paul Morgan in the series Dallas .

Corbett was the son of an auto mechanic. After his time in the Navy , he met his future wife Judy Daniels. She was employed at a college and encouraged him to appear in performances there. That's how he came into contact with Columbia Pictures .

Corbett, whose two marriages were divorced, had a son and a daughter from his first marriage. He died of lung cancer at the age of 59 .
