Pascoal Ranieri Mazzilli.

Pascoal Ranieri Mazzilli (born April 27, 1910 in Caconde SP, † April 21, 1975 in São Paulo SP) was President of Brazil .

He was elected to the Brazilian House of Representatives for the first time in 1950 as a member of the State of São Paulo of the Partido Social Democrático (PSD) founded in 1945, and was its President from 1959 to 1965.

In August 1960, during President Juscelino Kubitschek's trip to Portugal , he served as head of state for the first time, as Vice-President João Goulart was prevented by the election campaign.

After Jânio Quadros resigned from office, Mazzilli again took over the office of President from João Goulart during his state visit to China, as well as in April 1962 and July 1963 during further trips abroad by Goulart.

After the military coup in 1964 and the disempowerment of Goulart, he finally took over the position of Head of State and Government of the Republic of Brazil one last time.

From 1962 to 1967 he was President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and thus the only one who was also President of his home country.
