Caconde , officially Portuguese Município da Estância Climática de Caconde , is a city in the state of São Paulo in Brazil .
With almost 19,000 inhabitants (2018 estimate) and an area of 470.5 km², the city is located approx. 290 km north of the capital São Paulo and is a popular health resort and recreation area. Caconde lies at 860 meters above sea level on the border with Minas Gerais . It is surrounded by São José do Rio Pardo , Tapiratiba , Divinolândia , Muzambinho , Botelhos , Poços de Caldas and Cabo Verde .
