The Ranney nunatak is a nunatak in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Ford Ranges it rises on the southwestern foothills of the Gutenko Nunatakker .

Scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered and mapped it. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the Nunatak in 1970 after Charles R. Ranney (1931–1988), an ionospheric physicist at Byrd Station in 1969.
