Raphaël Charles Peyre
Raphaël Charles Peyre (born June 1, 1872 in Paris , † January 3, 1949 there ) was a French sculptor .
Life
Peyre was a student of Alexandre Falguière and Antonin Mercié . His preferred subjects were mostly allegorical and symbolic subjects. He exhibited his work for the first time in 1893 at the Salon de Paris . In 1894 he received an honorable mention at the Salon des Artistes of the Société des Artistes Français , of which he became a member in 1900 and now exhibited here regularly. In 1902 he won a third class medal, then in 1903 a second class medal. In 1909 he exhibited his work Harmonies here.
